Announcement: Regular Season Schedule Change
Asynchronous Tournaments will begin the 1st Saturday, and Synchronous Tournaments will run the 3rd Saturday of each month
We have an exciting update to share about how the NOF regular season will run going forward.
Starting next season, we're moving our asynchronous tournaments earlier in the month, ahead of our synchronous competitions. Asynchronous tournaments will now open at the start of the month (the first Saturday), with synchronous tournaments keeping their place on the third Saturday.
Why we're making this change
The reason is simple: feedback. By running asynchronous tournaments first, students receive written feedback from our judges before they step into synchronous competition. That means competitors can take what they learn (the notes on their delivery, their arguments, their structure) and apply it directly to their next round.
We're proud that this format can engage more students, in more places, at more stages of their forensics journey. As NOF continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming even more students from around the globe to our tournaments next year. This kind of innovative, flexible format is exactly what makes national-level competition possible for students no matter where they are.
We're always listening
We change our programs because we're always looking for ways to make them better — and we know some of the best ideas come from the coaches, students, and families who compete with us. If you have thoughts or suggestions, we'd love to hear them. Reach out anytime at alexandra@nationalonlineforensics.org.
All changes will be finalized by August 1st, with full announcements to follow shortly after.
New tournament dates for the regular season and national tournaments will be posted on the website this week. Keep an eye out, and we'll see you at the next competition.
