Learn how to administer a SPAR round with an odd number of competitors
In an ideal SPAR round, there will be all six competitors. Each competitor will debate once.
Sometimes, however, there will only be five competitors in the round.
When you have an odd number of competitors, ask those who already went if anyone would like to volunteer to go again. Let them know that the competitor that debates again will NOT be re-evaluated. Only their first debate round will count.
The volunteer will then debate the odd competitor out.
If no one volunteers, pick a random competitor to debate again.
